when the solenoid is removed it seems to work properly, but i am wondering if somehow it works when removed but not installed (don't know if that is even possible). been reading about a time relay in the dash possible being the problem but not sure how i would diagnose that part.

it does have a small mechanical lift pump i have not changed it and to my knowledge the previous owner didn't either. tractor has 740 hours so i guess it could be toast
