    BX23S transmission rear cover oil leak

    The pto shaft will slide back in you just have to keep trying. I took mine to a local trusted mechanic and he was able to slide it in after a hour or so, after the pto selector was operational on the mid and rear.

    That’s awesome! I’ll try that when I get home. I took mine to a kubota dealer nearby and was quoted 4k to drop the transmission and line the shaft back up. I went and picked the tractor up.

    The oil seal was not leaking the gasket around the pto cover was.

    Any idea why the lever would not switch to mid pto only? Having the same issue and my lever will not lock into position to switch to mid only.

    That’s exactly what happened.. When the rear pto cover was removed “40 bearing stayed in the cover and it pulled out some.
