I had the same issue with my LX 2610. PTO selector wouldn't budge. What finally worked was what someone mentioned earlier. Kicked PTO into gear and then out quick and then as it was slowed down I put pressure and it moved. Before I did that it was stuck tight.

I'm having the same issue, I'm gonna soak it in penetrating oil and try using the 3 point to move it and will report if it works.
