This solved the slow leak I had. After mowing the grass on a warm day a couple months ago I pulled the fill plug and put it back in. The axle hasn't leaked since.

I FOUND IT!! The bolt holds the shield on the drive shaft joint.

I checked all the parts diagrams for the 2822 front mount snowblower while looking over the equipment and didn't find a match. The bolt is cleaner than most on the snowblower. I'm beginning to think fell off the tractor.

I've been looking. It made me realize there are a lot of holes in panels and frames that aren't threaded for a bolt.
