Yes aftermarket - eBay special, Its a hall effect tachometer with a proximity switch mounted close to fan belt pulley that senses a magnet. I believe the new tachometer is measuring / displaying the correct speed, so I'm looking to understand how I can reduce the ticker speed of B1500 engine.

Ive just fitted a tacho to my B1500 and discovered that the ticker is running too fast - around 1700 rpm does anyone know how to adjust it as its not obvious to me currently. What should normal ticker speed be ?
