How to store a Post Hole Digger

Hey don’t knock it—I just have a bftree, a straight one, I just ratchet strap it after backing up against it with auger vertical and then unhook the 3 pt and pto and drop both in 5 gallon buckets with holes drilled in them to drain water. Mine is old and very heavy hence the bft…

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

That L3010 is a workhorse—co-owned a 2000 with a friend and had to sell my part of it when I moved. Hated to part with it.

    Concealed Carry Gun?

Same here. It fits and shoots better for me than a G17. If you go that route get the 43X—same pistol, longer grip and 10+1 capacity.

Awesome dogs / Crazy pets Thread

My 12 yo Bella Mia—always wants to be close by. Her people who had her from 8 weeks old died within 2 months of each other, it broke our hearts. She is our 4th Weim.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Gave er a bath, inside and out, after I mowed our easement. It is very dry and dusty in NWA right now and I thought good time to check the air filter. Engine was covered in grime and dust so degreased engine compartment and rear end. Thought may as well go ahead and wash all the tree sap off...

L2800 front tie rod ball joint broken—replace just the ball joint or the whole tie rod assembly?

Pleasant surprise: ball joints were $107 each, but the entire tie rod assembly was $125.47, same for both sides. Easy decision.

L2800 front tie rod ball joint broken—replace just the ball joint or the whole tie rod assembly?

I need to replace all 4 ball joints—each end of tie rod on both sides. The tie rods aren’t bent badly and it tracks true, but obviously it has put quite a bit of camber on the center joints, and I figure it will be a helluva lot easier/less PB blaster and cursing to just remove the whole tie...

L2800 front tie rod ball joint broken—replace just the ball joint or the whole tie rod assembly?

So I broke the right front ball joint on the main steering assembly end today while up on the hill from the cabin. Thank goodness for a bungee cord to get me back down to the cabin, held in place to creep back down. Question is: I knew they were pretty much shot already due to previous owner...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

My 16 yo proudly sent me this video yesterday afternoon—he’s working for the town grounds crew this summer mowing and weeding all our little town’s city property. He has never shown an interest in learning to use my L2800 but he was sure fired up that they let him run the tractor at the ball...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Mowed—finally—out at cabin and both easements and entrance gates. It went from ruts in mud to dust bowl in a week. Grass tall enough to not get out of 3rd gear. L2800 likes her fresh oil/filter, air filters, and fuel filter though. I have to mention, I hate hooking up a bush hog. It’s hard...

What is the perfect tractor for you, if you could have any tractor you wanted, and why?

Forgot to mention—don’t care about teaching pigs to whistle we’ll leave that to Vandy. I would like to teach pigs how to bat with runners in scoring position however

What is the perfect tractor for you, if you could have any tractor you wanted, and why?

I did the same—after owning 3 tractors previously I did the research and then searched for 6 months for a 15 year old tractor that was perfect for me with fairly low hours. Since then I’ve replaced every hydraulic hose, fluid, fan belt, and bad pins on the bucket. Worth the money I saved...

What is the perfect tractor for you, if you could have any tractor you wanted, and why?

Simply interested in what others like or dislike in tractors, functions, etc. Always something to learn…

What is the perfect tractor for you, if you could have any tractor you wanted, and why?

For me would be an L3400 Xtra Power, and here’s why: Tractors I have owned: JD 790–great all around 30 hp, plenty of power, 2 stage clutch, but small operator station and clumsy to shift Kubota L4400. Great machine. Sold due to divorce, but would be too big for my needs now. Kubota L3010...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Trimmed limbs from the front of the house with my two other orange tools and carried them down to the burn pile with the big orange tool—8 buckets worth, heaped up where couldn’t see in front of the tractor. Had been awhile, lots to trim up. Best wheelbarrow known to mankind, an orange one...

    Trailer or drive it.

My 65 acres and cabin are 10.5 miles from home, takes me 25 minutes by truck—steep hilly back country roads. I drove the L2800 out there once and took an hour. That was the only time I will trailer every time.
