I too would recommend a stand alone gas powered pump! Much more versitile, and can be easily sold if/when no longer needed. Probably cheap at HF.... but, buy their 2 yr warranty!

Would draining all possible gas, then adding a quart of 30W motor oil, agitating that, then draining it, and then filling the tank with fresh diesel, be an option? I don't really know... Just thinking out loud.

HD dealers KNOW that you do not NEED a new HD. They realize that they can charge whatever the traffic will bear. Somewhat the same, with our Kubota dealers too.
