    BX2230 slow to start

gssz - Very much appreciate the update. I can't count how many times I've thought a problem was going to be difficult to repair or very expensive, and turned out to be something simple. So, for me, it always makes sense to rule out the easy, cheap stuff first. Anyway, glad you got it fixed!

    Shear Pin Removal Issue

I've found the proper sized punch and large hammer generally will get the old pin out. Obviously, care should be taken on smaller sized shafts. Sometimes, the pin will deform prior to shearing so that the deformity sticks the pin in the hole.

    BX2230 slow to start

I'm familiar with that style clamp (use them on PEX) but have nver used them on fuel lines. I suppose they would be fine for the fixed ends, but I would want something removable and reusable for the filters. I wouldn't have guessed that the fuel lines would be that expensive.... As far as...

    M126GX no electrical power

Connections at the battery, negative battery ground cable to frame, positive battery cable to relay connection (don't know how it's wired, but I assume there's a relay in there somewhere), maybe fusible link? Checking for power at the relay (or other end of the positive battery cable) would verify.

    BX2230 slow to start

Air goes where fuel won't. We run into this all the time at work, so much so that we often test with air instead of doing hydrostatic testing. And, I've used helium with a detector, or N2 with H2 tracer gas and detector to test for leaks as well. So, you might not see a fuel leak, but air may...

    BX2230 slow to start

gssz - just noticed you're in Houston and are planning on moving your BX to TN, if I understand. That's interesting because I'm in Bay City (about 60 miles south of Houston) and my BX23S that I just bought is in Virginia. I've never even sat on it yet. It was delivered to a good friend in...

    BX2230 slow to start

If it were me.... I'd start with the easy stuff. You've verified that the glow plugs work, the engine doesn't smoke, I would assume you're not adding a lot of engine oil, and now you've done a compression check. I think I would look at the fuel system. You mention some sediment in one of the...
