Hi everyone, I found another l245 and it has a spun rod bearing.(according to the seller)This might sound odd but I'm considering buying it. Are crankshafts, bearing kits, gasket sets available at a decent price? When I get bored it costs me money for some reason. Whats up with that?

Changed oil in my new (old) l 245 and now it puffs blue smoke briefly under load. I used rotella 15/40, the oil level is correct, air filter is clean, outside temp is 32f. Didn't do this before. Any ideas?

Hello, I have a similar problem with my L245. One of the members mentioned that I need 850cca battery or larger. Also, that there is a compression release on my new (old) machine which I would have seen if the knob had not been broken off. Hope that helps.

Decomp. lever! I will be looking for that as soon as it gets daylight! My battery is too small it is only 650. Thought I may be able to test glow plugs but I didn't want to mess anything up. Thanks for the help.
