Don't you suppose it was used for holding the tractor on a steep bank? Loading the uphill side tires should help to stabilize a tractor when traversing a bank, maybe PO mowed a pond bank or what not and thought the weight would help. Just thinking aloud.......

I haven't personally drove one, but the use them in the railroad yards as utility vehicles. This time of year they leave them running 24-7, and beat the crap out of them. They seem pretty tough and reliable, about the only problems they have with them are flats....spikes are hard on tires...

Placed an order with Mark for the stabilworks for my bx2370 about a week to 10 days ago...they arrived in the mail today! He was super easy to deal with, price was very reasonable, and they look great! Will get them mounted on the tractor tomorrow, of course with some pics of the before and after!
