The loader operated better with the hoses disconnected. Performance improvements remained when reconnected. This is why I'm thinking there is more than one root cause, and planning to pull apart the linkage next.

Update: There was plenty of flow. Also removed & cleaned the male-side quick connects. Responsiveness has definitely improved, but not perfect, so maybe there was a small amount of trash impeding flow that is now gone. I think my next step will be to get into the joystick linkages, which...

I'm following you. Since I already know I have difficulty raising AND lowering at high engine rpm, I suppose I need to check flow in both directions on both male couplers? I'll give this a try and advise.
