Put my snow moving equipment on the hill and started to clear the brush from the field, for the size of the tractor it can really push.

N.Y,
Finally dry enough to start rolling the grass.

After 13 years time for a new battery. What a pain to jump start with the positive terminal shoved in first.

Soon to come!
Mosquito hatchery!
So now you're adding entomologist to your list of imagined accolades! 🙄 Those tires have been 50 feet away from where they're shown for at least the last six years. I don't get mosquitos at my house given that it's very dry up here. But what do I know, I just live here and clearly you're the expert.

If mosquitos were a problem, I'd pour some diesel into each tire, but it's simply not needed.

Off-road diesel is currently $2.88/gallon up here so on my way back from picking up a 38 gallon galvanized steel tank ($50 on Craigslist), I stopped at the gas station to pick up food for the tractors. I got a little over 100 gallons for a little under $300.

The tank is in really good shape and has a decent wall thickness. Looks like it's 7 gauge or similar. Not sure what I'm going to do with the tank, but for $50 it was too good to pass up. It stands 5ft tall with a diameter of a little over 20 inches. I could cut it up and make fire rings, or cut it up and make a ballast box, or turn it into a fuel storage tank for the trailer that I ordered. I'll figure it out eventually.

It is well possible that the switch (or the control lever) had wear and possibly needed adjustment. Otherwise it was only borderline open/closed and vibrations could then cause malfunction.

I repaired one of those safety switches that had failed completely: Link safety switch repair.
Thanks for that post. Now I see how it actually works. Fingers crossed that the new one lasts for a while. Tractor just turned 855 hours.

Not a big deal if it quits in my yard, but on a job it's a different story. :(

N.Y,
Now this is a fine roller you have !
I would love to have something like this.
Would you mind giving me the dimensions (I can probably guess them from the pictures) and most importantly, the weight?
It's 24 inches x 52 inches and fairly light duty. Supposed to be 920 pounds when full of water. I bought it 20 years ago for under $200 but now see it's overpriced at home depot.
Where I live frost pushes up rocks and heaves the ground. A couple trips over the lawn part makes it fairly flat again. Perfect size for the BX.

Figured out why my QH05 was not releasing the box scraper. Ignorance is not bliss. Less than a week of ownership and I really do not like those spring metal clips that hold the scraper tines in place. Enough so I just ordered a set of the F-pins. Bit pricey for what they are. Makers most know how much a pita the spring pins are.

Rain last night turned to snow this AM. Now not so nice conditions. Mix of rain with gigantic snowflakes drifting down among the raindrops. Sliding stabilizer bars for the 3pt are scheduled to be delivered today. I think switching over from the factory turnbuckles will be it for today.

Need to run into town for an errand and hope to find a large and strong enough L bracket with hopefully the correctly spaced and sized holes to use the existing holes on the ROPS to mount a tool box. Plastic tool box. Guessing just drilling holes in the tool box and adding a backing and offset plate might work?

Ok, the point of today's project was to see if it was going to be feasible to transplant some trees.

Well, it worked for the first one so I think I'll be fine to do the rest. Nothing special other than they're about 6' and will be used for rear property line filler and eventually, a view block

Got five moved. They are probably between 6-8'. Hopefully they'll take off. We planted them about 7 years ago on the former property line but they look out of place since we got the adjoining 2.5 acres.

I cleaned a lot of deadwood off the back property line last fall and it opened the sight lines up and I'd like to fill them back.

A couple of weeks ago I spent an hour fixing 20 or so small potholes that were on the county road but only a few feet from the bottom of my driveway. The following week they finally got to grading and made a mess of the transition between my driveway and the county road. This afternoon I spent some time on the MX fixing their sloppy work and making some passes on the lower driveway.

I find that I get better results pulling the scraper up hill. I wanted to move some material from the near the bottom of the driveway where it seems to migrate/collect during the year. The weather is all over the place at the moment but some moisture will help to settle the dust.

I washed the tractor this morning, greased the loader bushings/pins and blew out the air filter, but after a few hours work it looks pretty filthy again.

I've seen some used low hour vibratory rollers for sale locally and I sort of wish I had one. I could do a really good job on the gravel driveway if I could run up and down with a roller. 😂

I purchased a magnetic mount light, then used rtv to glue a piece of 1/8 metal to the roof. this way I can use it on the rtv and the tractor. It just plugs into the power socket.

For a ball hitch, I made a slightly longer one from 2x2 tubing. I also installed a after market receiver where the winch goes. So I don't have to struggle to install a hitch on the front.
Thanks Woodman

I have a 12V socket in the side by side but not the L35 tractor and figured I would mount it permanently, but having the ability to move it might prove useful.

I ended up returning the receiver extension and purchased a 5 1/4" drop hitch (turned up for rise) with a 2" ball and that sticks out just right, so that I will leave it on and not have the problem of getting under to remove or put back on.

I was anticipating buying a winch for the front but the snow plow bracket is in the way, so for now I may just pull things from the rear tow ball.

I added a 'power outlet' to my L35. I use it to power my 25gal sprayer and USB phone charger. The charger has a voltage display, which is useful to check the charging system status. Someday I may add a voltmeter to the Easy Checker panel.

Had a stump to pull, so I put on the BXpanded root ripper on the backhoe. Didn't want to go deep enough, so put the stock bucket back on. Doable, but a PITA. Seein's as how I've got quite a few stumps/trees to pull, I jumped on the BXpanded website planning on ordering the Quick Connect attachment. Website insisted I go thru paypal. So many hoops to jump through on paypal, that I just quit the order. If they can't take my CC directly through BXpanded, oh, well, they've lost a $350+ sale.

I understand not wanting to use PayPal. You may want to look at it again, if you add the item to the cart then on the next screen you have option to pay with CC. I have ordered from them and always just use my CC never PayPal.

I was curious because I paid for my Pirahna bar with credit card. While PayPal is kind of highlighted, if you go far enough through the ordering process to get to the screen where you put in your payment information, the credit card option is just below the PayPal / Venmo option.

Better late than never! I'm putting just two long rows for vegetables in an "orchard" that I never got around to planting apples in. Going to grow dent corn, runner beans and squash all together in one, and the tomatoes and assorted veggies in the other. This was the first day breaking soil. I'm going to disk and till twice more before we plant (is the plan).
