My B2110 has been sitting out in the rain for a month while I was away and the cover was ripped off. When I try it starts and then dies immediately. I want to check behind the dash for water damage in the electrics but how do I remove the cover. Just stick a screwdriver into the two slots and lever it off? Thanks

Yes it just pops out. Just be easy you don't want to break the bezel around it. Will it stay running if you hold the keyswitch in the start position? Obviously don't hold it there long just a couple seconds as a test. If so you likely have a key switch failure but it could also be the fuel shutoff solenoid. Pull coil is working but hold coil is not. There are tests you can do on the coil to determine which it is

I'd disconnect battery and NOT try to start/run the machine until inst panel has been properly dried out, cleaned, inspected. Even a single drop of water in the wrong place can damage electronics.
Mind you I only have 6 decades design-build electronics, 3 of them in the miserable industrial sector so what could I know ?

You have a valid point. In this case the panel is nothing more than a mechanical tach, couple lights and couple analog guages and short of the plastic on the front being cracked are not known for water getting in them. Panel has nothing to do with the tractor starting or running. One could remove panel and let it dry out and still continue testing

This tractor can be started and run with the dash disconnected and lying on the bench.

The panel is off. 5 clips around the panel hold it in place and are friction clips for anyone else interested.
I did briefly hold the key yesterday but it still stopped. I am not starting it today until its cleaned up. There is a film of muck under the panel so water and dirt are getting in behind the panel.
Now i am looking for the solenoids to test these any clues where I start looking?
Also I will replace fuel filters and believe there are two?
Thanks all

OK it is sorted. I checked the fuse box and nothing blown but pulled the starter solenoid 15amp and it was crusty pins so replaced that and she running fine now.
I will do a full service and attack the rusty wheel arches.
Thanks for the feedback.

So... water got to the fuse box, sigh. Best to check all the wires and connectors ,seems there aren't many.... but regulator should be looked at.
Also see if water is in the fuel tank. Caps a re vented and it might be possible some water got in.
Always better to be safe than sorry.
