Carrying out a service on the Kubota B7001D we just got and the oil filter doesn’t fit as the frame is in the way, tried the recommended one from Kubota specialist and one that was given to us with the tractor. Anyone else encountered this problem?

Really not sure, can’t find any visible information anywhere apart from the number 7. Recommended fuel filter also doesn’t fit, the casings too small, the current housing on there is Z500 which isn’t right either.

Right next to the injection pump facing up stamped into the flat will be the engine model and serial number.
It had a filter on it to start, what is that filter make and number?

That is a super common filter.

Yes I can see it’s got a D750 engine which I believe is bigger than the factory one, possibly why the oil filter is too close to the frame?

Did the filter you took off have any identifying information on it?

If not could you take it to a dealer and see if they have one that would match up?

That D750 is the stock engine.
Yes the filter is really close to the frame, but it doesn't matter because the frame to motor does not flex or move.

Probably any 3" diameter filter with a M20 x 1.5 thread would work.

You'd want the same 'bypass' psi and other features such as 'anti-drain back' if the original called for that.

Hard to tell by the pictures 'camera angles', but could you grind a little off the frame rail ?

I think the 20 X 1.5 thread filters came as 7317 sized, and 3593a size.

The 7317 size is long and thin, the 3593a is short and fat
