Bolting a L2550DT front axle assembly back to front wheel assembly case

Yes you are correct....Since my earlier posts and finally getting a chance to crawl under the tractor, I have found the bolt heads do have a "9" on them and that's the torque the WSM lists for a M14 bolt. I am leaning towards the big "O" ring must be leaking (inside the axle case where it...

Bolting a L2550DT front axle assembly back to front wheel assembly case

Thanks Wolfman for the follow up. I got the bolt size by getting the Kubota part number then doing a search of the part number and two different sources verified that it is size 14 mm. The bolt head takes a 19mm socket. But again thanks for the caution. I like how you cover all the bases...

Bolting a L2550DT front axle assembly back to front wheel assembly case

Thanks Wolfman. I found the bolt size is M14 and according to the manual the torque should be 91.2 to 108 ft lbs for grade 7 or 123 to 144 ft lbs if grade 9. At this point I'm not sure what grade the bolts are until I turn them out.

Bolting a L2550DT front axle assembly back to front wheel assembly case

I'm pretty sure I have an "O" Ring (see attached photo #050) that is causing a leak at the right front wheel. I have completely wiped the area dry and will be able to verify for sure in the next day or so. My question is when I bolt the main axle case back to the wheel assembly case (after...

Kubota L2550 4WD Front Axle Question

Thanks for the response....the leak is at the bottom seam where the main front axle case is bolted to the wheel assembly case. I'm not sure what else it could be! The diagram doesn't show having a gasket to seal the two flanges together. So I assume it's only the "O" ring that seals when the...

Kubota L2550 4WD Front Axle Question

I have axle oil leaking out of the area where the main front axle bolts to the right wheel assembly case. According to the attached photo below it looks like the oil is leaking because the "o" ring must be bad (I'm surprise there is not a normal gasket that seals when the two components are...

Hydraulic/Trans Oil Fill For L2550 & Drain Plug Question

Thanks for your reply....I intend to install the same type of plug from Kubota. When I remove the plug I assume lots of oil will drain out?

Hydraulic/Trans Oil Fill For L2550 & Drain Plug Question

I just picked up a Kubota L2550 column shift with loader. The owners manual shows two different caps to add hydraulic fluid. One is above the transmission (between the foot rests) and the second is behind the seat at the of top of housing where the 3 point arms are hinged. Are both of these...
