    Grapple Claw storage?

I store mine open with the claws into the ground. I just want the cylinders retracted so the rods stay corrosion-free.

How many Members here at OTT have met other OTT Members in person?

Never met another OTT member in real life. Who knows, there might be one right around the corner?

    Don't Forget Old Friends

Somehow it seems that I'm the one who has to initiate any correspondence or meet-ups. Maybe I'm just a lousy friend and nobody wants to get together, but the phone lines run both ways. My wife is my very best friend and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

    Leather Work Gloves

I'm currently wear-testing a few pair of Wells Lamont White Mule gloves. About $12/pair for the unlined version. So far, so good.

Don't buy a bigger tractor than you need.

My rule of thumb is 50hp for 2 acres. (But I use it on an additional 40)

    Why no valve stem guards?

Sounds like Never Seez and a pipe wrench solves that problem! (Along with some preventive maintenance).

    Why no valve stem guards?

Do like they do on a log skidder, and weld a 2" pipe nipple over the stem and put a cap on it...virtually indestructible.

Can't complain about HF Predator Engines!

I'm planning on getting the 8hp version to re-power my Huskee log splitter.

    Contaminated Fuel M5660

Wow! Seems a bit extreme to replace the engine for some water in the fuel.

    mx5400 vs m5660

"I bought too much tractor!" - said no one ever. With that being said, I love my M5660. Handles the Land Pride RCD 1884 7 foot twin spindle cutter with ease. I highly recommend the Kubota Shockless Ride accumulator system for the loader and the e-PTO option. The thing is a beast.

Trailer hitch ball stem won't go into drawbar hole.

You're right. The tongue weight will never shear the drawbar, but it will BEND!

Trailer hitch ball stem won't go into drawbar hole.

Another issue is tongue weight. The flat drawbar can take a tremendous amount of pulling force, but due to its structural shape, can't tolerate a high force in the vertical direction.
