Umm.. I am trying to understand this. Perhaps you could explain how turning off an injector would help to warm up an engine? Also I think you would definitely notice if an injector turned off at idle on a 4 cylinder engine. Wouldn't it be running really rough..? Always trying to learn!

Unless you are very familiar with injection pumps I would not suggest taking it apart, rather remove it and bring it to a good injection pump shop. But before you do that, get the cheap stuff out of the way. This is what I would do first. Make sure you have good, clean, fresh diesel fuel...
