    Fresh Corn

Here in northwest PA we don't have real local grown sweet corn available until mid to late July. The local farm that has farmland in South Carolina starts selling it up here 3 or 4 weeks earlier and advertises it being "from our own farm" without disclosing that is being trucked in from out of...

    Fresh Corn

We have a local family owned business that owns and leases large acreages of farm land and has 3 retail "roadside stands" that are as big or larger than some convenience stores, and also supply produce to several of the large grocery stores in the area. They always have sweet corn way ahead of...

How NOT to do a hydraulic oil change...

We don't have problems with dumping, but have kids and adults on ATVs, hunting, camping, etc. It is posted, but when you talk to them it's always "We didn't see any signs" or "We didn't know it belonged to anyone". I tell them what I learned from my grandad - "If you don't own it, or have...

    It is tick season.

I use Permethrin 10% and reduce it 1 oz Permethrin with 20 oz water to make 0.5%. One premixed 0.5% 24oz Sawyer's to spray clothing with cost more than buying 16oz of concentrate that can make 2 1/2 gallons when you mix it yourself. Various brands, concentrations, and bottle sizes are available...

    It is tick season.

Permethrin works great as a tick and mosquito repellent. Not recommended, but I spray 5% mixture directly onto my skin. So far, it hasn't affected me affected me affected me.

    Is it just me?

Wow, beer is pricey up there. I was not happy when my 30 packs went up to $17.50 last year.

Drilling and Tapping my ROPS for LED Lights.."OH The Madness"

Nice installation. Drilling the small holes will not weaken the tube. Now, if you put 2 or 3 inch diameter holes all the way thru both sides of the tube, it could definitely compromise the strength of the structure.

I went to the dark side 😱😱

We have started buying asphalt millings for our 1/2 mile drive. Cost less than washed gravel and has held up extremely well so far in the areas we have done with 8 tri axle loads. Probably need 8 or 10 more loads to do the whole road. Best we have come up with for the road in the 32 years we...

    Where is my lost stuff?

My son has 10mm combination wrench that he will never lose. It is an exact scale one tattooed on his left arm.

Does a Rear Blade Exist that Does All This?

I can recommend Woods brand equipment also. We purchased a new grading scraper and have an old back blade made by Woods. May be pricey but very well made - it's worth it.

Homestead 84" Land Plane - Pinacle

We purchased a new Woods brand 72 inch with scarifiers several years ago to use on a 1/2 mile private drive. I could not find any used ones around here at that time and had to order it. Paid around $1200 at the time as I recall. Very well made - works great and still looks nearly new now.

Brand new implement rust and bent

Hope you can get some money back for the damaged as received problem. The metal can be easily by straightened using a long pipe that will fit over the bent tine or try a 3 foot pipe wrench if you have one. Sand the rust and use any good black paint to replace the finish that is missing. Don't be...
