    B7200 HST Decompression Lever Questions

Finally! It came loose. I pulled out the propane torch. It took a while to find the lighter that was right in front of me. Found a small container and filled it with ice. I tried it one more time and it moved just a smidgen. Intimidation works! I didn't even use the fire and ice. I forgot to...

How do I turn L245 engine by hand?

I found the Timing Marks View Port. Moving the flywheel was easy and not too tedious. All of the valves were a bit sloppy. I would say 0.004 - 0.005 over spec. I can't wait to fire it up. Until I get the Decompress fixed, it will have to wait. I have posted separately on that. I am curious...

    B7200 HST Decompression Lever Questions

I have an L245 with a "seriously" stuck Decompression Release Lever. I have tried PB Blaster and it is still stuck tight. There is no movement at all. There is too little shaft external to the cover to get a grip on. And yes, I did already remove the lock screw. I really would like to avoid...

How do I turn L245 engine by hand?

ranger_danger, Thank You. If my Decompress worked (see below), I would also add that engaging Decompress will allow the crank to spin a bit easier. Since mine is an issue, I'll likely remove the Glow Plugs to relieve the pressure. After the Decompress fix, that should no longer be an issue...

How do I turn L245 engine by hand?

While this may seem like an obvious or commonly used procedure for everyone else, I am not finding specific instructions on the recommended method, or any acceptable "easy" method, to turn the engine by hand. I am referring to a the method by which one would use to find TDC (Top Dead Center)...

Install of water temp gauge - L245DT

Thanks! By foreign cars, would it be more exclusive to any region? With the 'B' is BSPP being British, I suspect at least European.

Install of water temp gauge - L245DT

Did anyone complete this task? I am looking to add a temp gauge. The electronics are not an issue. I want to be sure the sensor placement is appropriate. Has the threading in the block or head location been confirmed to be NPT or BSPP or any other variant? I am familiar with NPT. Not so much...

    L245 tachometer not working

The tachometer is not working. So, I disconnected the cable at the engine and I start the engine. The drive spins. The spline on the cable is not broken. So, I grab the cable shaft to spin it and the end comes off in my hands. I don't think this is what the cable is supposed to do. I guess a...

    Fuel Injector Specifications

Thanks! Unless I missed it, which is entirely possible, I did not see any injector specs for the D1101A engine. I looked through all of the Engine docs and I did find one page of specs listed in what looks like a Power Point presentation. Just no Fuel Injector specs. I did see where other...

    Fuel Injector Specifications

Does anybody know where I can obtain the technical specifications for the L245 Fuel Injectors? I have a desire to test mine but I don't know what the specific tolerances and limits are.

    Holder Post

All, Has anyone found a better source (meaning better pricing) for this part - Holder Post (The rubber collar piece that is attached around the steering wheel collar (37150-16850 )? Any price in this cost range seems very unreasonable for this part.

    Fuel Gauge for L245

North Idaho Wolfman, I thought I was using the correct site when I went to https://apps.kubotausa.com/quick-parts/. Apparently, I was not. THANKS! This site (https://apps.kubotausa.com/illustrated-parts/) is much, much more useful than the other. That does bring up a pet peeve I have. While it...

    Fuel Gauge for L245

Shootem64, see item #7 an the attachment. The book calls my L245 an L245FP, according to the pictures.

    Fuel Gauge for L245

Motionclone, the manual calls it a fuel gauge. But, "crappy sight hose" is a little more accurate! I have a small caliber black fuel hose on it now. But, now there is no gauge. I'll have to look for an opaque style of hose. Thanks! It gives me a direction.
