Steering Problem with M4030SU Kubota tractor

You are welcome. I’m surprised it worked, but I’m pleased it helped.

Steering Problem with M4030SU Kubota tractor

Although the problem sounds more significant than just air in the steering hydraulics, here’s what worked for me when my steering had sone trouble due to starving the engine for fuel nose up and pushing the HST and turning the steering wheel getting off the hill with a dead engine. Jack up the...

    Broke Bush hog

I agree with the assessment of the steel being sub par. I have an RCR 1860 that I’ve beat mercilessly for hundreds of hours. I’ve broken everything except the cross bar on mine, skirt, skids, gear box, blades, tail wheel, tail wheel bracket assembly, cracked stock welds on the deck, etc. My...

    ruined tire

Hum. Seems like he turned your little shed into junk and left most of there? If he wasn’t a good neighbor, I’d probably stop wasting my time with him.

    Crazy high speed crash

Too bad enough lousy decision making occurred that this was the result. If anyone had to parish, at least it was the responsible party, presuming a mechanical/electrical failure did not cause this. If there is a silver lining, it’s that no one else is as injured or worse.

    Stand or Storage Options

Not to take away from some other neat ideas for stands, but if we’re taking about the landscape rake like @bird dogger has in the link above, with wire tines, could an upended 5 gallon pail work? The load would be maybe 20-30 lbs.

PTO driven 3-point circular saw attachment.

Interesting tidbit about paying property tax with firewood. I presume this was pre WWII? The last time I read about a public entity accepting something other than money was a late 1800s requirement that able bodied male landowners had to work one day a year on the roadcrew as part of their...

Loader arms faded...will warranty cover this?

Yup. And they only charge a “little” extra for it. You pay for what you get. On occasion you might even get what you pay for (but do not count on it).

    Expecting a problem next door....

If there was/is a house on that lot currently, it should have a septic system. If it’s a traditional gravity system, it could be as easy as them putting their discharge into the clean out of that system. Although that might mean dragging black water tanks around occasionally depending on parking...

    Expecting a problem next door....

Dont know the water source situation there, but if indeed sewage is being dumped into a sink hole, it could contaminate local wells.

    L-47 vs L4060

Impressive excavation and trenching work you’ve done with your B. If you end up with that L47, I can only imagine what you’ll get done. As to the 4WD lever placement, if it’s like my L, on the left side just above the floor, indeed, sometimes I do pop mine out of 4WD with the toes of my left...

    Who would have thought??

Whoda guessed that wouldn’t turn out well. In November of 2020 (full speed Covid era) the majority of the voters in Oregon thought this would be a good idea too. It turned out horribly. What a surprise. The current Governor has decided to unilaterally (with support of enough of the...

L4060 HST oil filter change 50hr

On my B, I was a little slower and IIRC, it was nearly two quarts I spilled at the 50 hour service. My shop vac died just before I spun the filter off, lol. Maybe next time.

    Elder Care

I’ll be watching this. My parents have been gone for over a decade, but the in-laws are at this stage. They are very stubborn, won’t leave the hillside they live on and move 5 miles to one of two of the rentals they own on flat ground. Neither can walk without a walker. Neither can get...
