When I bolt on spring steel tines be it landscape rake or cultivate tines, am I supposed to use a lower grade bolt (regular bolt) so it WILL break or stronger like grade 8 so it won’t break as easy??? Thanks
Ok. I see what you mean now. Would I just weld this to the plos in photo, or , get one that has the receiver where this one has the trailer ball and then just weld a short piece of 2”tube steel on plow to mate with the receiver????
Thanks but I’m not familiar with a Belarus weight mount??? I’m just wanting to pull this plow thing and use as a rake. Just needing to make or dab a way to use my tractors 3pt hitch. Thinking the tube steel receiver would be easiest
Thanks Russell for your reply. I’m thinking of cutting that ‘Brimley’ type hitch off and welding on a regular 3pt hitch. However, I’m also thinking putting on some dots of receiver hitch to pull with a 3pt hitch
Thank you Motion. You’re probably right too on the frame being too light. I have a pine straw rake and the wire tines are just too flimsy to do any ‘raking’ of small limbs and big sticks etc. They just bend back and slide over. Work great on pine straw etc but not larger limbs and sticks...
Has anyone replaced the pine straw rake tines with landscape rake tines?? Everything is so expensive these days I looked and can get 30 landscape tines for half the price if a landscape rake. Help me out here with ideas or thoughts
