I have 47 hours on MX5800 - had a hydraulic line for 3pt hitch rupture at the 12 hour mark. Dealer responded to my Farm w/in an hour and attempted repair in the field by replacing "O-ring"..but it kept rupturing and after blowing thru 2 more Orings the Dealer trailered back to shop. Next day...

My new MX5800 is approaching the 50 hour mark (46.3 hrs) and I contacted Dealer to schedule service. Dealer said it will take a few "weeks" to schedule?? My concern is that I will have 60-70 hours on Tractor by then unless I just stop using it. Dealer said the extra hours are no problem and...

CaptMike you are correct on the Woods BS"M" - much heavier than the BSS that was mentioned to start this thread and it was the BSS that I was referring to when I expressed concerns about it's LIGHT duty quality. The BSS is only 5550lbs and therefore several 100lbs lighter than the BSM models...

CaptMike you have the Woods BSM84 - BIG difference from the Woods BSS (mentioned to start this thread) - the BSM is several 100lbs heavier than the BSS and a much better product - also a lot more $$ but likely worth it.

King creek or CaptMike -- or anyone w/BoxBlade: I'm looking for either a 6' or 7' BB and so far have been disappointed in the quality of the Land Pride 2572 and Woods BS models - both seem "Light Duty" regardless of their "Heavy Duty" claims...they each weigh UNDER 600 lbs. I have some rocks...

You certainly picked the Cadillac of 60hp tractors! I've been looking at the L6060 for almost a year and comparing against other tractors from NH as well as the MX5800 at Kubota. The L60 is clearly better quality and especially regarding the 3 pt hitch and it's more powerful rear hydraulics...

D2Cat - you're correct in that I "over analyze" everything...but my property is also 200+ acres well Off Grid and when something goes wrong - I'm on my own. Therefore, trying to minimize those risks as best I can and a few extra plys on the tires "might" make a difference. May be all academic...

One more TIRE QUESTION - how many "plys"? When I asked Dealer if I could upgrade to 10 ply tires was told "Kubota does not package new tractors w/the best tires or offer that as an option". That explains why the stock tires are only 6 ply. I know that any tire can puncture but 6 plys are more...
