Today was a rough and sad day, we lost our LB (Logan Berry) Anatolian Shepherd and Timber wolf.
The sweetest dude that scared everyone because he was huge!
He was doing great yesterday, he's been dealing with a bad back and leg but everything else was good.
He declined all day and nothing was helping, well about 2 hours ago, he had enough and went to sleep.
I hate losing our kids!
RIP LB

They are rough days for sure. I was reminded once that "old men miss many dogs".

Sorry for your loss Wolfman.

It's something we all know is going to happen. We never want to think or talk about it. We deny it all we can. When it happens it rips us at the most sensitive part of our body. My thoughts are with you today!

I believe our pets are God's give to us. How we treat them is our gift to God.

Had deer in the yard when I got home the other day. Found this 90lb ole girl improperly using the furniture to catch a glimpse.

All of Geddy's "siblings" were here yesterday.

Twin daughters came home to go to Ivy League Indoor Track Championships at Cornell. Got to see their former coach, now retired.

Son and his girl came for dinner and to see his sisters.

Son is local. Girls came from Delaware and California.

He had a very busy day.....and the girls kept him up late.

Today is cold and blustery. He's snoring by The Dragon.....with Mr. Bill….😉

Geddy usually runs with Mom.

Mom left without him today.

"I'm sure she went this way....."

She didn't -- - went other direction. 🥺

IMG_7625.jpeg

Mom is training for a Half Marathon (13.2 miles). She needs to do 11 miles today for her training.

Geddy can do 5-6 miles, but not 11.

She plans to do 8 miles, come back to the house and take Geddy for the last 3.

He’ll be so tickled when she stops to get him……😉

So sorry for your loss. It’s not until loved ones and pets pass that we truly realized how much we loved and miss them. As I’m getting older in life I truly realize the bond between man and dog is something that’s so strong , and that makes it so hard to say goodbye 😞

Geddy got his larger Jolly Ball toy back today! I'll give him the smaller one in a while. Smaller one is easily covered by snow.

(I also put a new XL Jolly Ball in my Amazon cart - this one has been through Ollie. Pretty beat up, and handle is about to come off. ;) )

I take them out of the yard for winter.

I once sucked up a dog’s soccer ball in the snowblower….won’t do that again….. ;)

we are dog sitting for my son this week. I guess an empty couch, loveseat and her sisters bed isn't enough, NOO she has to be on top of you.

We have Jolly balls all over the yard... for some reason they prefer the chewed up/torn to shreds balls...

I've accidentally caught them with the midmount mower..... The round ones I can go around and kick out of the way with the deck or the front tire...... they roll....

Henry the goofball used to drop it right in my path until the mower spit one out at him.... at hyperspeed...... wacked him right in the head.... He just stared at me like WTF.... :ROFLMAO:

Love the indignant look you get when they do something dumb and it's your fault. 🤣🤣🤣

So this was Otis patiently waiting for the after hours vet to arrive at 7pm Saturday night. He disturbed a large snake in the long grass on our walk. Saw a big coil of snake flick up but couldn't tell if he had been bitten.
No snake bite fortunately but the vet knew him and my wife by name after his last escapade of eating from the compost pile and not eating for 3 days. 🙄🙄🙄
